On your device, and in your own iCloud.
LISZ is a tool for organizing the work of running someone's life — clients, tasks, trips, properties, contacts, records, expenses, and notes. Everything you enter is stored in a database on your device.
If iCloud is enabled on your device, LISZ syncs this data through CloudKit's private database, which is tied to your Apple Account and encrypted by Apple. Only you can access it. We — the developers of LISZ — have no ability to read, access, or recover your data.
Nothing.
No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. We operate no servers and never receive your data. By default, the only network traffic LISZ generates is Apple's iCloud sync between your own devices.
- No account creation is required — or possible. There is no LISZ login.
- No name, email address, or contact information is ever sent to us.
- No location data is accessed or tracked.
- No usage statistics, behavioral data, or crash reports are sent to any server of ours.
- No advertising identifiers and no tracking across apps or websites.
Off by default, and entirely yours.
LISZ can use on-device Apple Intelligence to help sort what you capture. If you choose to add your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, or another compatible provider — this is off by default and entirely optional — the text of your captures is sent directly from your device to that provider, under that provider's own privacy terms, to be classified.
Your API key is stored only on your device, in the iOS Keychain, and is never sent to us. If you don't add a key, this never happens.
Asked for only when you use the feature.
LISZ requests each permission at the moment the feature that needs it is used. All are optional; declining one disables only that feature.
Only where you send it, when you send it.
LISZ never shares your data automatically. When you export a card file, copy a drafted message, or use a share sheet, that data goes only where you send it, at the moment you send it.
A single file, and it is not encrypted.
LISZ's optional Backup & Restore export writes everything in the app — including scanned documents, receipts, and photos — to a single JSON file on your device.
This file is not encrypted. You choose where it's saved (iCloud Drive, Files, email, AirDrop, and so on), and it goes only where you send it. Treat it like the sensitive document it is: store and share it with the same care you'd give a folder of your own records and photos.
Yours to remove, at any time.
You can delete any item inside the app at any time. To remove everything:
- Delete the app from your device.
- Open Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → LISZ and remove LISZ's iCloud data.
Not directed at children.
LISZ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — or from anyone else, for that matter.
If anything changes, you'll know first.
If LISZ's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change takes effect.
Getting help with LISZ.
LISZ has no account and no login, so there is nothing to recover and no password to reset. For anything else — a bug, a question, a feature request, or trouble with iCloud sync — email us and we will answer.
Before you write in
- Sync trouble? Check that iCloud Drive is on and that both devices are signed into the same Apple Account, then open More → Settings in LISZ and run Data Health.
- Something looks missing? LISZ filters by the project you have selected. Switch to All projects and look again before reporting it gone.
- Reporting a bug? Tell us your device, your iOS version, the LISZ version and build number (shown in More → Profile), and what you did just before it happened.
